Amanda Kyritsopoulou (b. 1989, Athens) lives and works in London. Working primarily in sculpture, her practice examines the relationship between objects, images, and the systems of meaning that shape everyday life. Drawing on clothing, domestic items, commercial imagery, and text, she explores the tension between what is encountered as significant and what is dismissed as ordinary or absurd. Surface, flatness, depth, and optical illusion recur throughout the work, where materials are used to question clarity, value, and perception. Through humour and subtle disruption, Amanda considers themes of aspiration, anxiety, selfhood, and the ways bodies and identities are asked to adapt within contemporary life.
