mentorship
On day 2 of the inaugural iteration of the programme, we were privileged to welcome award-winning musician and producer Matt Hales (Aqualung), alongside the internationally acclaimed artist Ryan Gander.
The first edition of Room & Board was held at Old Jet, a studio space for artists on an abandoned Cold War Era airbase in Suffolk.
Participants worked in rotating pairs across three rooms within the Old Jet facilities. Invited mentors joined to see the work as it developed, offering individual guidance and feedback.
The limited timeframe and unprescribed outcome is designed to give participants the freedom to experiment and follow the collaborative work where it leads.
